Wart Removal Duct Tape

Wart Removal Duct Tape – Is it really working?

Warts are very ugly growths on the skin caused by the papilloma virus also called HPV. Warts are harmless however they can become very, very bothersome and annoying. This virus settles in our skins upper layer and it does not trigger the body’s immune system. This means it stays undetected until it causes warts to grow. Only then do we know of the infection.

Warts are easily passed on to other people. This can happen trough skin to skin contact and by using or sharing affected materials such as towels, gloves, bed sheets and other clothes. It is said that children are the biggest carriers of warts and the hpv virus.

A study has shown that wart removal with duct tape is a effective way to remove warts. This works the best on children and young adults. Wart removal with duct tape uses common and easy to buy duct tape that is available in nearly every store. People attach the duct tape to the area of the wart (infected area). What happens is that the duct tape irritates the skin around the wart and it sets the immune system into gear to start and fight of the virus that is actually causing the wart to appear in the first place.

You may wonder how wart removal with duct tape is done correctly. As a first step we apply a peace of duct tape directly to the wart we want to remove. We keep it there for 6 to 7 days. In case the tape falls off earlier than that just reapply a new peace of tape. Securing it with a little bandage will help to keep it in place for that time.

The second step in the wart removal with duct tape is to remove the duct tape and soak the wart in warm water. After it has been soaked use a pumice stone or a filing board and file of the dead skin of the wart. Then wait for 12 hours and reapply the duct tape. We then repeat those steps mentioned above.

It is said by experts that this should be repeated for about 6 weeks for the wart to disappear completely. In many cases good affects can be seen as early as two weeks.

You will find that many people are not comfortable with the wart removal with duct tape idea. They simply can’t see how irritating the skin will help remove warts. It may sound weird using duct tape to remove such a common skin problem.

It is important to remember that each body and immune system is different and what might work very well for one person might not work for another. If wart removal with duct tape fails in your case don’t panic as there are many other easy to apply methods that you can use at home.

The wart removal with duct tape has been shown to work better on children and young adults. This can simply bee due the fact that children have a strong immune system. Where adults immune system is weaker and operates differently. They will usually get rid of warts much easier doesn’t matter what technique is applied.

So by looking at all of this what can we say about the wart removal with duct tape? If we think about it, it is a very cheap method and it causes no pain. So it would not hurt to try it. And of course if it does not work you can always try a different method to remove your warts as there are many remedies available.

I have found a website that is very good and has a great product for wart removal that will help you get rid of warts. This is a direct link to that site: www.wartremoval-moleremoval.com
